Driver Appreciation 2009 was held in October for all CFLC drivers and employees. This annual event is done to show the appreciation for our hard working drivers and for their work done throughout the year. This years event had a great turnout . Numerous vendors were on hand to answer questions about their products and provided the great giveaways and prizes that were distributed throughout the day. Giveaways consisted of hats, pens, flashlights, notepads, keychains and koozies. Many $20 and $25 gift cards from various stores and restaurants, coolers, DVD players and tool kits were up for grabs during the ticket drawings. CFLC employees and management prepared all the food and setup the huge buffet tables under the main tent. The menu consisted of chicken, ribs, hotdogs, lots of side dishes, rolls and fantastic deserts. There was so much food, that the extra was put in the driver's lounge so driver's could eat as they came in throughout the evening.
This year a contest was added for the golfer who could come the closest to the orange cone with the prize being a new golf bag. One of the new Kenworth's that was just purchased as part of our fleet renewal, was available for inspection by drivers and employees.
